The only field test
available for detecting lead in water, this kit comes complete with a
reusable cartridge, plunger, cartridge stand, collection bottles, and a
replaceable filter. Pre-treatment materials, activators, and swabs are
also included. Quick and easy-to-use, this "yes or no" kit detects lead
concentrations to 15 ppb (EPA standard) in any potable water sample.
Modification of the standard protocol allows detection at TCLP levels. The
kit contains supplies for six tests. This test is not quantitative, and is
not intended to replace laboratory analysis.
Applications
Use LeadCheck Aqua to test any potable water
sample from drinking fountains, taps, or other sources.
How to
Use the Test Kit
Collect sample
Pre-treat sample using material provided.
Using plunger, push treated sample through filter device.
Activate filter using material provided.
Squeeze swab on both ends, shake well, and drip contents of swab
onto the test filter.
Within one minute, the center of the filter will turn pink if
lead is present.
