For your convenience, SKC manufactures coated filters for a wide
variety of air sampling methods that require chemically-treated filters or
pads. SKC Coated Filters are shipped inside the cassettes with end plugs
and sealing bands in place. No assembly is required; they are ready to
use.
To use coated filters, simply remove the end caps and connect
the cassette to the sampling pump using Tygon ฎ tubing. Remove
the inlet section if sampling open face. After sampling, remove the
cassette and replace the end caps or entire inlet section. Record the flow
rate and sample time, then send the filter cassettes and sampling
information to a lab for analysis.

OSHA Method 42 specifies a filter loading of 0.1 mg of
1-(2-pyridyl) piperazine, and OSHA 47 and ASTM D5836 each specify a
filter loading of 1 mg of 1-(2-pyridyl) piperazine; however CF/CST
225-9002 and 225-9013 are acceptable for all of these sampling
methods
- 225-9002: Loading of 1-(2-pyridyl) piperazine increased to 2
mg to increase stability and shelf-life of filters.
- 225-9013: Loading of 1-(2-pyridyl) piperazine is 1 mg.
